Allergy Training Workshop
The Emerging Societies Program (ESP), a joint initiative of the WAO and the ACAAI, in partnership with SLAAI, CMICA and COMPEDIA, successfully conducted its inaugural Allergy Training Workshop as a pre-Congress event of the XV Latin American Congress on 19-20 June. The main objectives of the workshop were:
- To ensure that general healthcare providers learn about and understand basic information for diagnosing and managing patients with allergy and allergic diseases, and use this knowledge in their clinical practice
- To build capacity of local allergists to train GPs and Pediatricians in the identification, treatment and management of allergy and allergic diseases
