Your Global Network

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is a global network of 77 national and regional allergology and clinical immunology societies. To facilitate an international information exchange, WAO relies on Annual Activity Reports from Member Societies. These reports are the foundation of a global network.

Access the Member Section of www.worldallergy.org. As a WAO member, you have access to the Member Society section of WAO’s Website. Learn about other national and regional organizations from around the world and partake in WAO’s cutting-edge educational programs.

Receive electronic updates. Members receive electronic newsletters (e-letters) on groundbreaking research, current trends, best practices and major allergy meetings around the world.

Take part in global outreach. Get involved in WAO’s international congresses, global education programs, and Website to help bring state-of-the-art allergy treatment and best practice information to physicians and allergy specialists throughout the developing world.

Contribute to WAO governance; provide service through committees. Regional nominating groups and national societies appoint members to the WAO House of Delegates and Board of Directors. This global representation extends members the right to vote and influence WAO governance. Members also serve on committees and advisory boards that form and implement WAO activities and programs.

Apply for student grants. Based on the merit of submitted abstracts, WAO provides opportunities for students to apply for educational program travel grants to its biennial Congresses. In addition to monetary awards, WAO waives registration fees for aspiring allergists and enables them to attend our state-of-the-art international congresses.

Use of the WAO logo. WAO Member Societies may use the official logo of the World Allergy Organization (within WAO’s Corporate Guidelines) on stationery items, such as letterhead and business cards. We encourage Member Societies to proudly display the WAO logo for international recognition. For WAO logo use on other printed materials, including meeting programs, please contact the WAO Secretariat.

Host educational programs. As a member of WAO, you’ll have access to programs for your professional allergy society. The Global Resources In Allergy (GLORIA) program provides a framework for dissemination of best practice recommendations. GLORIA and World Allergy Forum (WAF) symposia are presented at national and local meetings of WAO Member Societies.
